Description: The Machine Flower kinetic sculptures are inspired by the movement plants make (heliotropism and nyctinasty). I was driven to create this body of art after watching an Anemone flower in my front yard open to the sun each morning and then close at night. These illuminated kinetic sculptures can be triggered to open or close manually (by a switch, app or timer) or by a photo or motion detection.
